Tracy Anne Warren is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of eleven Regency historical romance novels, including At The Duke’s Pleasure and The Husband Trap. She has won numerous writing awards, including Romance Writers’ of America’s prestigious RITA® Award, the National Readers’ Choice Award, the HOLT Medallion, the Golden Quill, and others. Currently, Warren is at work on The Princess Brides Trilogy, which follows the enchanting romantic adventures of three royal princesses brought together by friendship and fate on their way to finding true love. The Bed and the Bachelor is Warren’s latest release with The Princess and the Peer scheduled for release in April 2012.

From my youngest days, I have enjoyed dreaming up tales to entertain myself and my friends. In junior high school, I discovered the joy of reading romance. Burrowing my way through the huge stacks of the novels my two older sisters brought into the house, I soon had a bonafide romance reading addiction––one that persists to this day. So I suppose it was only natural for me to combine my love of reading romance and storytelling, and start writing my own books.

Despite penning my first never-to-see-the-light-of-day-again novel at age seventeen (a time travel that was written way before its time), the journey to become an author was not without its detours. Along the way, I earned an honors degree in history from The Ohio State University, and completed a year of graduate level education at the University of Delaware. After college, I worked for a number of years in finance, including positions as a mortgage loan processor and as a financial management specialist for the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, D.C.

After years spent trying to ignore the stories constantly clamoring inside my imagination, and the characters that whispered their predicaments and desires to me in the dark quiet of night, I started writing again, determined this time to let nothing stop me from achieving my dream of being a published, working author.

I currently reside in Maryland with a trio of spoiled Siamese Rescue cats––Christofur, Violetta, and Georgianna. When I’m not busy writing, I love watching movies, expanding my music collection and tending to my windows full of gorgeous orchids and colorful African violets.
